爱的秘密:剧情介绍
Plot Summary:Set in the 1950s, Inventing the Abbotts is a dramatic look at the life of two boys from the wrong side of the tracks and their interaction with the three daughters of local aristocrat Lloyd Abbott. The boys, Jacey and Doug Holt, have only three things in common: their family, table tennis and chasing the beautiful Abbott sisters. Their father, a reckless risk-taker, lost his life through a wager with Lloyd Abbott, his then business partner.
故事发生在五十年代美国的一个小镇上。杰斯（比利·克鲁德普 Billy Crudup 饰）和道格（杰昆·菲尼克斯 Joaquin Phoenix 饰）是出生在平凡家庭之中的两兄弟，兄弟两人和母亲海伦（凯西·贝克尔 Kathy Baker 饰）过着相依为命的生活。 艾伯特家是镇上有名的富豪之家，家中有亭亭玉立的三姐妹帕梅尔（丽芙·泰勒 Liv Tyler 饰）、爱莲娜（詹妮弗·康纳利 Jennifer Connelly 饰）和爱丽丝（乔安娜·高茵 Joanna Going 饰），虽然从地位上来看，三姐妹高高在上同两兄弟完全不属于同一个阶级，但两个家庭还是被牵扯进了复杂的爱恨情仇之中。三姐妹的父亲坚信自己的女儿们要嫁给门当户对的男人，因此十分反感她们同杰斯和道格来往。
